Christmas Day
Santa came to our house late today all 3 of us slept in. Wasn't going to try out the roads so we will have a delayed Christmas at dads when the Blizzard passed our area. We got from 8-12 inches of snow hard to know exactly since we had 30-40 mile winds so there was alot of drifts. this is a picture of the neighbors house about 7 A.M. this morning
Merry Christmas to all

White Christmas
Well it looks like we will have a white christmas here in Kansas this year, it was raining this morning then sleet this afternoon and not it is snowing, they are saying we could get 4-13 inches of snow before it stops. We were suppose to go to my Dads but since he lives 100 miles away our christmas will be delayed a few days, my sister and nieces are there so he will atleast have family there.

Movie night
Today was a lazy morning did some knitting and web surfing and blog reading and this afternoon we decided to go see the movie Avatar. I usually don't like this type of movie but this was one I really enjoyed, out theater just added a 3D option and it was well worth the extra $3.

getting the hang of this
It has been a productive morning, I figured out how to add music to my blog so I've been busy looking for songs but you will only hear Christmas ones for now, alot of these are ones I remember from growing up so some are really old...but memories are memories.
Also in my email today was a quick gift to make so I'm including a link

Holiday poem
'Twas the month after Christmas and all through the house
Nothing would fit me, not even a blouse.
The cookies I'd nibbled, I thought just to taste
At the holiday parties had gone to my waist.
When I got on the scales I saw such a number!
What a nightmare it brought, when I tried to slumber.
I'd remember the meals I did prepare;
The gravies and sauces and beef quite rare,
The wine and the rum balls, the bread and the cheese
Oh how I should have said, "No thank you, please."
As I dressed myself in my husband's old shirt
And prepared once again to do battle with girth.
I said to myself, as I only can "You can't spend a winter disguised as a man!" So - away with the last of the sour cream dip,
Get rid of the fruit cake, every cracker and chip
Every last bit of food that I like must be banished"
Till all the additional ounces have vanished.
I won't have a cookie - not even a lick.
I'll want only to chew on a long celery stick.
I won't have hot biscuits, or corn bread, or pie,
I'll munch on a carrot and quietly cry.
I'm hungry, I'm lonesome, and life is a bore -
But isn't that what January's for?
Unable to giggle, no longer a riot.
Happy New Year to all and to all a good diet!
